Start near Kotor, ride upward by van and panoramic cable car, then coast downhill on a Giant hybrid or mountain bike through the famous 25 Turns road. Guides such as Rafa, Armando, and Simon set a safe pace, stop for photos, and help you handle traffic and tight bends.

“This was my favorite tour of the 9 stops we made on our cruise! Our tour guide, Armando, was super laid back, knowledgeable and fun. I went with my two teenage boys and we all had a blast. We ride the alpine coaster first and then headed down on our bikes. We stopped in multiple places to take in the beautiful views & take pictures. The roadside cafe/bar we stopped at for a drink had breathtaking panoramic views. I absolutely loved Montenegro and want to come back. I recommend this tour 100%!”

Hiking downhill from Krstac to Kotor, visit San Giovanni fortress

2.Hiking downhill from Krstac to Kotor, visit San Giovanni fortress

★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 15 reviews · 4 hours (approx.) · from $142

Ride from Kotor to Krstac Pass, then walk an ancient caravan path downhill through forest, rocky slopes, Spiljari village, and San Giovanni Fortress. Your English-speaking guide, often Ivana, Iva, or Milija, leads the private four-hour outing and serves local cheese, ham, juice, and rakia.

“The track was very steep and mainly comprised of loose stones which at times were slippery. Our guide was very patient with us and was helpful at all times. His passion for local history was evident. The drive up to the top of the mountain was not for the faint hearted with steep hairpin bends and dozens and dozens of switchbacks. In retrospect it would have been a much easier walk uphill.”

3.Bike tour – Panoramic downhill from Njeguši and Kotor serpentines

★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 7 reviews · 3 to 4 hours (approx.) · from $126Best value

Ride mostly downhill from Njeguši through Kotor’s famous switchbacks with guide Ivana and her team. Stop at Njegoš’s birthplace, watch traditional ham making, pause for coffee, and add a 900-meter zipline for €15. Expect 3 to 4 hours, bikes, helmets, snacks, and a private group.

“It was a remarkable downhill bike ride. There are multiple places to stop and take photos. Ivana, the guide, was a delight. While she is involved in mountain rescue, extreme sports like canyoneering, and more daunting tours like repelling, she was great with our small group which included an enjoyable German couple. Bring your smiles and have fun.”
